As many of you know, I am a huge fan of alllll the beauty products. Some days I love to go full glam and wear a full face of makeup that most people would never wear. Other days I like to go super light and put nothing on my face at all.
So as I was kind of getting myself ready for yet another day of sitting in my house… I decided why not put this together on the blog! Its super simple and takes literally like 3 minutes to do!
First I start with my face. I take the Tula Face Filter Blurring & Moisturizing Primer, and spread one pump on my face. This stuff is incredible and really does magically make your face look filtered. I don’t know how they do it, but I’ll be a fan of this product for life!
Next, I use the Benefit Gimme Brow in shade 3, and brush it through my brows. This is really a great product for quick brow days. Of course, if I were wearing more makeup, I’d wear more in my brows, but I love this stuff for a quick sweep of color and volume in my naturally light brows!
After that we have the star of the show! If there were only one makeup product on the planet that I could use, this would be it. I have very light eyelashes and need them to stand out. It is amazing how much of a difference mascara makes! It Cosmetics Superhero mascara is hands down my favorite mascara of all time! I’ll never go without her!
Lastly, I grab this Wander Beauty Lip Retreat Oil in the shade Skinny Dip. I got this a sample and absolutely love it! Its so hydrating on my super dry lips and also gives just a touch of color and a ton of gloss!
Here is the final product!
Easy and simple! Have you ever tried any of these products? I’d love to hear your thoughts! ❤️
My second favorite time of year is here! Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty kicks off today!
In the midst of all the craziness in the world right now, I’m going to share with you something a little bit more positive. Anyone who’s been here for a minute knows how much I love Ulta and how excited I get for the 21 Days of Beauty sale every year!
For those of you unfamiliar with the sale, every day, for 21 days, there are a select few products that are on sale for 50% off. These items are referred to as beauty steals. The sale on that item lasts just one day, so its important to me to have it all planned out and know in advance the items I am interested in!
In addition to the daily sales, there is a weekly special for each of the three weeks. These are usually not quite 50% off but are still really great deals and the sale runs for the entire week instead of just one day. If there is something in portion of the sale that you want, you may want to wait to add it to your cart on a day that you are buying something else.
Diamond/Platinum Exclusives – When you spend an embarrassing amount of money at Ulta each year, like me, you can either earn diamond or platinum status. This award allows you to have free shipping with the purchase of any beauty steal.
I’m going to break it down week by week (in three separate posts), sharing the weekly Hot Buys first and then each of the daily items.

Let’s talk summer first, since it’s still super hot out for most of us! These sandals are super cute and the snake skin print is so on trend right now! They’re on sale for $30 but you can get an additional 20% off with the code YAYSUMMER.

This camo Tee is $6! You literally can’t ever have too many camo items in your closet. So cute! These tees are super comfy too!

A nice cozy cardigan option for the transition into fall. I love cardigans with a tank and shorts for summer. Then switch to jeans for the fall! It’s only $14.99 and comes in three colors!

If you’re looking for a new fall eye palette, you won’t be disappointed by this one. These colors are so warm and beautiful for fall. Two Faced eyeshadow never fails me. This is online only right now and $49, which is a normal price for this many shadows!

Another fall fashion find, this sweater is on clearance for $4.99 and in stock in all sizes but large. It’s perfect for leggings and boots when the temps finally cool down a bit!

I did some scouting of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and here are some of my favorite finds!
If you’re reading this post, there’s a good chance you already know what I’m talking about. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening! It really is a great time to get some quality items for a lower price.
Full Disclosure… I want literally everything in the sale. Will I buy everything? No. Will I buy a lot? No. I don’t need anything. I need to save my money. Will I buy a few things? Yes. So, I thought I’d share with you some of the items in the sale that really caught my eye and that I think you’ll all enjoy too!

There are tons of items that I’m loving in this sale. If I had unlimited money, I’d be spending a ton of it, but… I’m a teacher so my income is not endless. I will buy a few items, and then use others as an inspiration to create my fall looks.
I also don’t live near a Nordstrom, and although I was at one earlier this week, I wasn’t able to shop the sale because it wasn’t happening. Although they had everything out, so I was able to spot a few items, it was all roped off so I couldn’t actually look at it. I’m going to make it a point to try to get to an actual store at least once during the sale! So, stay tuned for that!
Tips for Shopping
Early Access *All Cardholders – July 12 – 12:30 pm ET
Anniversary Sale Public Access – July 19 – August 4. Prices increase on August 5.
Look for basics! I think it’s a great idea to look for some quality basic items. I’ve said for years that it’s great to make an investment on a piece that is going to last you years and live longer than a seasonal trend. I love seasonal trends as much as the next person, but I don’t think it’s wise to spend a ton of money on something I’ll only wear for 3 months.
Set a budget! If you’re anything like me, you probably have a mild self control issue. I’m pretty good at reasoning with myself about my spending, but there are times when I just need something and need it now and overspend. Then I have buyers remorse and get stressed and it’s a spiral. So. Be smart. Set a budget. Give yourself a number that you’re willing to spend. If you’re not shopping the early access sale, you have an entire week to browse the sale items and make yourself a wishlist. You can weigh the pros and cons of what you want to buy and you’ve got time to think about it!
When in doubt, order it. – I know this might kind of contradict what I was just saying, but one of my favorite things about Nordstrom is the free shipping and free returns. If you’re unsure about sizing, order two and return the one that doesn’t work for you. If you want something but aren’t sure about the fit, order it and make a decision at home.
Act fast! – I know, just reading this gives me anxiety… But there are items that are ALREADY sold out and the sale isn’t even open to the public yet. So if you think you want something, get it. Add it to your cart and purchase it. Again, free shipping so you can purchase one item at a time. No worries about additional shipping costs.
Be Ready – Log in to your account ahead of time. Have your card added to your account so that you don’t have to take the time to enter it at checkout.
Don’t spend money you don’t have – You’ll thank me later for this one. I opened a Nordstrom card simply to shop early, and because when I signed up there was a bonus $60 note. It was kind of a no brainer. BUT! I won’t ever, ever, ever carry a balance on this credit card. Or any card for that matter. But that’s for another day. What I’m spending at the NSALE, will be paid off as soon as my credit card bill comes. It’s not worth it if you’re paying interest on something you got a great deal on. You’re going to end up paying full price for it!
Watch where you click – What I mean by that is, if there is a blogger that you want to give credit to for your purchase, make sure that his/her link is the last link you click before placing your order! For example, maybe one of your favorite bloggers shared a sweater and you want her to get credit for your purchase, but someone else shared a pair of jeans and you want her to get credit, you’d want to make separate purchases in order to give each person credit. The last link you click is the person who gets the credit for your purchases! If you do use my links to place an order, please know that I truly from the bottom of my heart appreciate it! By doing that you’re helping to support this blog!
Let’s just get this out of the way, shall we! I’ll tell you first, that as intrigued as I am by the Barefoot Dreams line, I refuse to pay that much for a cardigan or a blanket, so you won’t see me talking about or promoting them. I really have no input. I’ve never even felt one and it’s probably better that way. For starters, I have a dog and two toddler boys, I’ll stick to my inexpensive blankets for now. If Carlton chewed on a $100+ blanket, I’d probably lose my mind. There are two reasons I don’t want to try the cardigans. 1. They’re just way too much money for a cardigan (in my opinion). 2. I’m terrified I’ll like it and then I’ll have to buy more… it’s just best for me that I don’t even bother. But, if you are interested in them, you can find the blanket HERE. I’ve been told they’re amazing! 😉 If you’ve got the money to buy expensive blankets, get it girl!
These BP V-Neck tees are such great basics. I actually have one and love it! It has held up really well through multiple washes. The price for these is really quite reasonable, even when they’re not on sale. These are going to be a huge seller! You honestly never can go wrong with a basic v-neck tee!
I spotted this cardigan when I was passing through Nordstrom last week (and not able to shop because I’m not one of the elite. Haha) It’s definitely a great Cardigan. I think it will probably be a huge seller as well.
I’ve seen this sweater on several bloggers and I’m LOVING it. It is perfect for fall and winter. The colors are so nice and will look great with anything. I love the oversized look as well!
This leopard cardigan has a bit more of a grown up feel, but still has that fun leopard print. It’s a little bit more pricey than the BP one I mentioned earlier, but this is another great option!
I can’t get enough of Madewell. This cardigan is no exception. It’s the perfect transition cardigan and of course I’d wear it all the way through winter.
This is a perfect weekend sweatshirt. I love the colorblocking and the colors are great! I don’t think I’d ever want to take this off! It would work really well now with shorts on a cooler evening and then with leggings or jeans into fall!
I’m just loving this camo jacket. Camo is not going anywhere. I’ve seen several girls trying this one on and it is good! You can pair with a tee and jeans or white denim, throw it over a maxi dress in the fall, a denim skirt… the possibilities are endless with a great camo jacket! The metallic stitching on the side above the pocket is just a really nice touch. If I didn’t already have a great camo jacket that I love, I’d for sure be adding this one to my cart.
If you saw my Madewell Try-On earlier this week, I mentioned an oversized denim jacket that I tried on. From what I can tell, this jacket is very similar if not the exact same. They’re definitely the same cut and style, but maybe a different wash? Anyway, if you’re looking for a high quality denim jacket, look no further. This is definitely an investment piece, but its going to be around for a while!
I sat back and listened to everyone rave about these leggings for YEARS I swear. I thought there is no way that a pair of leggings is worth that much money. I was WRONG. I love my Zella leggings. I snagged mine last year during the sale and I’ve probably washed them 100 times, no exaggeration. They’re in exactly the same condition as they were when I got them. They are WORTH THE HYPE! I can wear them to work out (a very rare occurrence. lol) or dress them up! I’ve worn them to work with a nice top, I’ve worn them on the weekend with a hoodie, I’ve paired them with a big, chunky, oversized sweater. If you get one thing from the sale, get these.
I’ve been looking for a great pair of black denim to wear to work, so the distressing needs to be minimal, or non-existent. This raw hem is fine for my job, so I’m definitely considering these. Especially since I finally had an opportunity to try Madewell denim and fell in love with it. (I don’t know why I have to have such expensive taste. But I do. I still thrive on finding things on a budget though!) If I do decide to grab these, I’ll definitely update you guys here and on Instagram.
I absolutely love my Free People jeans that I have. So much so, that I have them in three colors. (Budget finds, of course! My Dillard’s was going out of business and I got each of the three pairs for like $20. Talk about a score.) Honestly though, they’re worth the sale price all day long! The ONLY reason I wouldn’t pay full price is that I can’t wear them to work, so that limits my use of them.
This is a really great affordable pair of denim! This brand is a very popular brand with great reviews! I love the light distressing just at the ankle.
And a third pair of affordable denim. Everyone needs a great black pair of jeans. This is a more affordable brand than the Madewell I talked about above, but still great quality!
These. Shoes. Hands down my favorite item I’ve seen in the sale. If there was only one thing I could buy, it would be these. I’m absolutely buying them. Leopard is such a basic print. I literally treat it like solid black or white. I’ve seen these on several people that shopped early and they’re just perfection. I foresee them selling out very, very early!
There are several pairs of Vince Camuto booties in the sale and their prices are all very close to one another. They’re all beautiful and I don’t think you’d be wrong to purchase any of them, but this was my favorite pair of the bunch!
This bag is beautiful and under $40! It’s definitely a contender for what I’ll be spending my money on. As a mom, I’m all about the crossbody bag life. It’s so easy to carry that and my kiddos and their diaper bag and their stuff… lol #momlife.
My friend told me a long time ago that these were her favorite no-show socks. So last year, when they were a part of the sale I snatched them up! I’m not mad about that decision at all! They really are great! If you’re already a fan, this is a great time to stock up!
I’m assuming that everyone shops the sale, when we all know that’s not true!
If you are shopping, what are you looking for? What are your faves from the post? If you’re not shopping, why? I mean that in a genuinely curious way and not in a “omg I can’t believe you’re not shopping. What’s wrong with you?!” Kind of way! Just looking to start a conversation! Leave a comment below! Let’s chat!
These are perfect for work or play. I think they look so polished and put together without being too fancy. They come in several colors and are 20% off right now! Some colors are under $50!
This comfy jumpsuit is on sale for $20! I love the length, the button detail and I guarantee it’s super soft! Throw on some sandals for a more casual look or wedges to dress it up a bit!
This is soooo good! I can’t do my hair without it! I use it on a daily basis! It gives my fine hair just the right amount of texture and volume! It ships free too!
Dainty little rings are my favorite. These are so pretty and come in several different styles. They’re only $8 each. So affordable and perfect accessories to dress up any outfit.
I feel like I’ve seen so many great sales popping up in my email today, so I thought I’d share them with you, in case you’ve missed any of them!
